MY DOG IS VERY STRONG & PULLS ON A LEASH Just to be safe, order our all plastic buckle or belt buckles (both our strongest) or choose any buckle but only use as ID + walk your dog on a harness or belt buckle collar. DISCLAIMER: We thoroughly test our buckles + we can with total certainty tell you that if you tie your dog out or have an aggressive puller, the hybrid metal plastic buckles will break. They withstand 200 lbs of pressure which isn't hard for a dog to achieve when pulling. 4. OUR DOG HAS BROKEN SIDE RELEASE BUCKLES IN THE PAST Metal side release buckles can break if tugged on hard enough. They have moving parts that can break when too much pressure is applied.
