What is a Leather Slip Collar?
- Slip collars don’t have a buckle closure, and are rather slipped over the pups head.
- When the leash is attached to the D-Ring when walking it tightens when leash pressure is applied.
- When used under the instruction of a trainer, they can be a great dog training tool.

When to not use a slip collar?
- Unattended
- As a tie out
- On dogs that pull. A slip collar should apply quick pressure to get their attention. It should not compress the dog’s airway.
- On puppies
- On dogs with neck or trachea damage.
- Consult a dog trainer if unsure if a slip collar is right for your pup!
