The buckle is a high quality metal as is the rest of the materials used. I wish I would have ordered a bigger size as Stella has nearly outgrown it and we just got it today, but that is totally my fault! I should have thought ahead since we have a Mastiff. I will be ordering another, so it will be ready when she outgrows this one in a few weeks! Thank you MimiGreen!
